Great advice. One thing that really helped me was picking up something new to learn; it was really odd going from school all my life to no school at all. Coursera has great free courses in pretty much every subject (from guitar to medicine to programming to English, seriously!) and can help enhance your resume. I had zero programming experience so I did some introductory Python classes and found that employers like seeing programming skills even if the industry isn’t tech because it makes you look super computer literate which is something everyone’s looking for. Also it’s fun! StackSocial often has really good cheap deals for courses under $20 too.

But yeah, definitely add some structure to your life or you will go bananas with boredom. I wish this piece had been around back in December when I finished!
